General Rules
1. Obey the Proboards ToS.
2. We aren't going to make everything kid-friendly. Some cursing is allowed, but don't be an idiot about it.
2-1. On the other hand, we aren't going to allow rampant gore/ultra violence/etc. Keep things on a PG-13 rating.
3. Don't double post, Proboards has an edit button for a reason.
4. Don't spam post either. Try to make sure each of your posts actually has content beyond one word.
5. Advertisements go in the Advertisement board. Don't go posting them in other places on the site (yes this includes signatures).
6. Respect your fellow members and respect the staff. Flaming, trolling, and such are not acceptable conduct. If the staff say something, you're going to want to listen. Nobody's out to specifically attack you so keep things friendly, we're all just here to have fun.
7. Grammar is an awesome thing that we have the ability to use. We are an English forum so use proper English. Spellcheck is an easy thing that almost any computer has access to.
8. The Golden Rule. Most countries have some version of this so you should know what I'm talking about.
IC Rules
1. Godmodding, Metagaming, powerplaying, and anything like those is not allowed. If you don't know what any of those are, see here, here, and here.
2. At least one to two paragraphs minimum per post. Yes, not everyone can write novels nor does everyone want to write novels, but that doesn't give you an excuse to post one-liners. You wouldn't want someone to respond to your posts with one line would you?
3. Like before, proper English. It makes a world of difference.
4. Characters cannot be killed without consent. The exception to this is if you do something so incredibly stupid the only possible result is death (like if a dragon drools lava and breathes fire, you decide to fly into its mouth and stab it in the tongue).
5. Somewhat related to the above, keep in mind that actions have consequences. Just because this is a fictional world does not mean all conventional logic goes out the window. Crimes will be punished, stupidity will get people killed, and saying the wrong thing to someone may very well end up making you an enemy. Don't get pissy if you end up doing something that causes a reaction you don't like. That is how the world works sometimes.
OOC/Character Creation Rules
1. No real-life FCs. We are primarily Animanga, but video game FCs are also allowed and certain characters with appropriate art may also be allowed (such as characters from movies with fanart or certain online web series that have a lot of fanart).
2. In terms of character count, try to keep it reasonable. We are a site that favors character quality over character quantity, and it will be really hard to develop any character if you spend more time making them than actually playing them. Try to stick to 1 character until you actually have done something with them.
3. Post at least once every two weeks. Some events may require more strict posting times, and if you cannot meet any of them due to something you know is coming up then post in the Greetings and Farewells board. If you don't post and you haven't posted some kind of absence then we will archive your character and inventory, and if you were a canon role it will be freed up.
4. If you lose a canon role due to inactivity, then if you try to reapply for it you must redo the entire application. You cannot simply copy/paste your old character.
Graphics
1. For your Mini-Profiles, the large image is 200x400, and you can have 2 100x100 icons for the other areas.
2. Keep your signatures down to 500x300 at the maximum. We don't want obnoxious signatures.
3. Ideally, if you can avoid GIFs and other animated images that would be great. For some computers the amount of code slows down the site, and if you have constantly playing looping images then it is even worse. If you have to link to one, make sure it is just a link so people can choose to pull it up separately.
