appearance, Formal Wear Casual Wear Jason is a dashing, clean-cut man who stands tall at six-foot-five, with a birth mark under his left eye - both eyes are natural brown. His hair is a unique bluish-black hair that flows downwards, allowing it to drape over his face with two signature hair strands to flow between his eyes. Since he comes from a wealthy family, he likes to wear two different sets of clothing when he's out and about; a set for work, and a set for casual strolls or attending to non-work related activities. His work outfit starts with a white collar shirt with a blue, and dark-blue, striped tie with an Eldredge knot. Next, he wears a blue and dark-blue striped, sleeveless vest that closes with six, grid fashioned, white buttons - the inside of the vest is colored black. Finally, he wears bluish-grey pants and dark brown boots with a single belt buckle strapped on each ankle. He also carries a dark brown coat, but rarely keeps it on. For his casual wear, he first wears a brown collar shirt with a light pink cravat. Next, he wears a dark red sleeveless vest with seven, vertically-aligned, black buttons - the inside is also colored dark red. Lastly, he wears black pants, black shoes, and black gloves - the latter, each has his family's crest imprinted on the back. Occasionally he dons on a black overcoat with four, vertically-aligned, buttons - the inside is colored dark magenta. Since his face is the focal point for everyone's eyes to direct, he never wears anything on top of his unkempt hair; personally stating, "I would delude everyone's idea that I'm expressing my family's health of wealth rather than my own. I express my family's wealth by successfully purchasing anything that I require at the time, like everyone else." | personality, Jason isn't as simple as most would think he appears at first, as most would wish all Humans were simple. Garnishing multiple ways of responding to someone's comment, he will either go insane, calm, neutral, normal, angry, disappointed, or simply ignores the comment and goes off to talk about a different topic. Along with the insanity, as it may sound like at first, he never sticks into one mood for too long; meaning if there's a serious moment in a discussion or fight, he'll throw it off with a crack of a joke or something entirely different. He speaks very formalistically, an upper-class tone that very much divides himself from the rest of the others who may also be rich, but not as unique as he is. He typically is described as a madman who doesn't know when to get serious. However, not everyone will witness his strange behavior, as he is quick to change into a gentleman in front of a lovely woman, or multiple women; he will never switch his persona around them or when speaking directly to them. As his mother would lecture him, "Never show fatuousness nor primitiveness, unless you wish to find such things at the bottom of a stained glass." His charm knows no bounds since his magical abilities grant him access to more illusionary "magic" tricks to impress the woman's eyes and heart, and eventually lead them inside a private room for further... *ahem* performances... However, his charm does not stick to one woman forever when he spots another beauty passing by his sights. Just like his impatience to stick to one persona, so does his patience in sticking to one woman, in one area, in one discussion, or a town; always seeking for more glorious adventures with fun as the grand bonus. The idea of traveling around the universe, with or without a companion by his side, is a goal he so wishes to accomplish one day. |
history,
Jason Vorden, the only son born from a wealthy Dracon family who have invested their money on owning shops of weaponry, clothing and magical items, and smiths and brewers who craft these essential equipments for everyday customers and travelers - which in turn created profits doubling or tripling the amount they had put down. His parents were somewhat disappointed that Jason won't have siblings to play and share like-minded thoughts throughout the rest of his life, due to the fact his mother was told she had a terrifying disease that would reduce her chances to produce another healthy child. Once Jason was born they decided it was best to not try again, to reduce the risk of the disease possibly infecting itself onto their future children. Plus, the business they had structured will be handed down to Jason as inheritance, so that he can continue to make the Vorden name echo throughout the history books and beyond.
However, this was not in the best of interests for the Vorden family's competitors, as they wish nothing but financial ruin for the rest of their lives. As Jason grew up, enjoying the company of the servants educating him and playing with him while the parents are out investing in more wares, he slowly gains awareness on the conversations his parents discuss every night. His room was right next to theirs, so this made eavesdropping quite a growing habit as he grew up later on. His parents spoke about a temporary alliance with a foreign family named the Dufont most of the time, and how their son, Jackson Dufont, will soon take over the trading and market companies they have invested in. This was a major concern since weapons, magic, and other wares do travel in and out of the capital city of Dracon, and are the blood vessels towards every other settlement outside the city-states; to have the equipment missing or behind schedule will result in paying the trading company for the late or missing arrival. Also, since other competitors wish nothing more than the Vorden family to always pay up and eventually fall into bankruptcy, extra security must be installed on every trader they own or else the relationship with the Dufont family will sever without hesitation.
Fast-forwarding Jason's life as a young adult, he was to be engaged with Elizabeth McCartherson, a highly-respected daughter whose family owns two ports that travel far from Terra Heroum's sights. With this marriage, the Vorden family will receive all of the McCartherson's shares and profits 60-40. Usually, arranged marriages would usually mean the son and daughter will have boundaries on who gets to do what in front of the other, while keeping up the appearance that they're wonderfully happy together. With Jason and Elizabeth, however, it was the first chance to see sparks fly in each other's eyes. Both were disciplined during their studies, both were well-behaved and knowledgeable in their family's field of expertise. Besides that, both carry humor and pranks both like to use and try on the sons and daughters of competitive families, among other harmless comparisons like reading books and traveling within Terra Heroum's lands. They were meant to be together, but there was usually someone who didn't think happiness should last forever.
To ask him where or when he was born has been hard for him to explain nowadays. He can't remember how he was born, how he's able to master magical abilities, or if he does have a family, if he ever inherited the business that was promised to be given down to him, or if he has any ties with anyone living throughout the years that he has lived through. All he can remember are flashes of his true love, Elizabeth, and how tragic her death has been on him. He doesn't even know why he has lived longer than the friends he has made through his younger years, none ever grew old or even died peacefully. What he does remember, though, was the man who killed his to-be wife had an initial "JD" etched on the back of his hand, what the two letters mean was beyond Jason's understanding. Besides that, a ceremonial invitation was handed to him by a captain from the High Council, informing him he is to be the Left Hand of the Humans in order to show that the city-state of Andor does stand strong and proud through perilous times, even though he does carry heavy burdens of an unsolved past. For now, though, with the help of knowledge through the arts of magic and combat, and his well-mixed personality through socializing with others, he must slowly remember why he has lived this long without someone pointing a knife at his back, and whether or not he will find justice for the wrongdoings that happened to his love.
