appearance, Despite being a pirate, Nightmare is actually fairly good looking. Shaggy blonde hair with matching eyes, he stands at about six feet tall. His build is strong and athletic. For the most part, Nightmare prefers loose fitting clothing, and will often wear a fairly simple shirt with a jacket and loose fitting pants. However, never assume anything is his main outfit as, being as vain a person as he is, he will always switch it up whenever he has a chance. | personality, Antagonistic, sarcastic, and sardonic. Nightmare is the kind of person that just has a talent for being able to get under everyone's skin. His ability to create grudges between people lead him to be able to hold a grudge of his own. It doesn't matter how long it's been since you've wronged him, he will remember, and there's a pretty good chance that he'll wait for the right moment. He's got quite the vengeul streak. Add in his arrogant nature and you have someone who's just great and pushing everyone's buttons. And Nightmare manages to get that down to an art for various reasons. Being intelligent, Nightmare is able to cook up a good plan whenever he needs to. He can be extremely creative at the drop of a hat and when he wants to be, he actually can be charming. Though he is brash at times, he is far from stupid, and does know when to lay low. He also greatly believes in the idea of free will, and vehemently hates those who try things such as enslavement and brainwashing. He feels like people should be free to make their own choices in life, and will defend this ideology to the death. That said, despite his nature, Nightmare has been shown to be extremely competent at pretty much anything he actually puts effort towards. The problem is he usually either tries to talk his way out of a situation, or just talk his way to something he wants. He was a knight's son who picked up combat training with gusto, and if he were to be just a wee bit more violent in his methods, he might be a bit more feared than he really is. But, due to his tendency to take the easiest way, he often ends up avoiding violence when it might be more useful. |

Born as one of two twins to an ordinary family, Alexander Sorel seemed like a fairly regular kid. His father was a former knight, fairly well respected, and had retired to lead the life of a simple blacksmit. Alex, being the male of the family, received training in both aspects. His sister, he never really checked up on in whatever it was she was learning. To this day, he isn't really sure what she was learning or what she has learned. He hasn't seen her in a while.
So thus it was that Alexander learned not only how to fight, something in which he turned out to be surprisingly good at, but also learned how to mold metal and rock, something he also turned out to be surprisingly good at. But where Alexander truly shined, he had learned, was when he was talking. He had a way with words, he realized, and with the right tone, wording, and appealing to one's nature, he could get almost anything he wanted out of the deal.
When he turned 16, he put those word skills to the test, managed to get himself a small dinghy for free, which he named the Black Pearl. After that, he managed to get a sword for free, which he named Silversnake. After that, he got a few more things for free, including some cobra whiskey, and sailed off into the seas to become, of all things, a pirate. To this day no one's really sure why he decided to up and be a pirate, only that it was apparently a good idea to him.
