appearance, Rathia has a really rare androgynous appearance as an Elf. His/Her hair was usually described as silver blond but is actually closer to white than anything else. S/he also has milk white skin so pale that people often asks her/him is s/he's ill. Her/His eyes are also in a extraordinary shade of red, the crimson really stands out on Rathia's overall pale complexion. The young assassin had never been very vain in all of his/her life. S/he keeps his/her white hair unkempt and when it gets too long that it bothers her/him, s/he would cut chunks of it off with a dagger or a knife. S/he often secures her/his messy fringe with red pins so that they stay out of her/his face. Her/His hair is also long enough that they covered her pointy and not so long elven ears. Rathia has a really small build for an elf, s/he stands at 5 foot 2, and unless s/he states that s/he is a Elven girl, people always assume that she is a human. Due to her/his weird taste of fashion, s/he is more often mistaken as a young boy or a girly boy than not. Her/His lack of curves did not help with the matter either. The Elf also has red stitches on various parts of her/his body, not for sewing wounds but for fashion purpose. The peculiar elf has the odd habit of sewing her/his skin, the stitches look like tattoo from afar. | personality, Rathia is generally a very cheerful and oepn person. S/he has a bright personality that lights up the people around her/him. The elf is very sociable and usually has an innocent air about her/him. S/he loves to make friends and become acquainted with various people. The dwarfish elf may not look it, but s/he is very competitive, whether its assassination or games, s/he likes to win. The Masquerader is quite intelligent and was told by many that s/he was a prodigy, and wanting to keep all the praise, the young assassin had became very competitive since s/he was at a young age. Being a deceiver, it is hard for the Masquerader to truly make friends with someone because s/he always have to hide her/his identity as an assassin from people, who would like to befriend a killer? Rathia is anything but untruthful to her/his friends however, if someone proved to be worth her/his trust, the Elf would keep almost nothing from them. S/he also would not hide her/his true gender when s/he meets someone s/he really wants to befriend. It is very hard for her/him to love someone because s/he knows it would endanger that person and it could become her/his weakness. Underneath the bright and playful demeanor, Rathia has a darker side to her/him, just like the dark side of the moon. S/he is the kind of person who could kill someone without any hesitation or doubt. No matter how upbeat and cheerful s/he is, the Masquerader is after all, a killer. And merciless is an important trait to be a good assassin. Rathia would do anything to hide her/his ugly sins from people s/he cares about. |

Rathia was born into a really wealthy and noble family full of golden-haired elves. However, as s/he grew up, the elven girl/boy started standing out from her/his blond siblings. His/her hair was white and the trademark Elvish long and pointy ears that all elves had was hardly noticeable on Rathia,
The Head of the Troyard household was a distrustful and paranoid man, he started having these suspicions that Rathia is not his child but a bastard that his wife harboured with a human mortal. The more he thought about it, the more it made sense to him. To add oil to the already burning fire, there were people who wanted to ruin their marriage and weaved intricate lies into the lord's ears.
Rathia's father was completely convinced that s/he was a bastard child and he ordered for Rathia to be killed and accused his wife of adultery. Rathia's mother desperately tried to tell her husband that Rathia is a trueborn child of the Troyard family but he would not listen. Seeing no other choice, Rathia's mother secretly arranged for Rathia to be sent away to Dracon so that s/he could escape the terrible fate of death. At the age of 6, Rathia knew nothing except that if s/he didn't listen to his/her mother, death would await in the future. So, s/he was anything but disobedient when told to enter the trading caravan that would take her to Dracon.
And it would seemed that they were not in the favor of the Hero because their caravan was attacked by the notorious and large assassin guild which had been very active in that area. Rathia hid under the seat while all the killing was happening outside the caravan. S/he was terrified but all s/he could do was hide, listening to the anguish cries of the dying people and hoped that the killers wouldn't find the little elf under the seat.
The assassins won the fight, unsurprisingly and luckily, they didn't check inside the caravan and had just drove the caravan straight back to their hidden guildhall, the Assassin's Keep. Rathia stayed silent on the whole journey so it was only until the assassins were unloading their goods when they found the little Elven child. The assassins all contemplated on what to do with the little girl/boy they discover.
And that was when the Assassin King discovered her/him, he offered her/him a choice. To either stay with him and be trained as an assassin or be killed by him, he could not allow her/him to live because s/he had already seen their hideout. It was quite obvious what the choice would be. Rathia stayed and trained in the Assassin's Keep. S/he became sort of like everyone's little pet. They would offer her/him food and teach her/him tricks while s/he went around pouring wine into cups.
Famous assassins from all over Terra Heroum come and go to the guildhall. And the Assassin King let Rathia learned from all of them, even the King himself taught him/her several tricks. The young elf became extremely skilled in numerous killing ways. S/he was not only skilled in the art of killing but also in music, art, and literature. S/he was also taught manners and etiquette by lady assassins who visits the assassin guildhall.

S/he was often used as the innocent distraction so Rathia also became quite the deceiver. His/Her ever changing of gender also helps in many assassinations. People can never truly catch her/him because every witness has a different story about her/him. S/he became known as The Masquerader due to her/his ever-changing identity as an assassin.
