Name of Lore: The Martyred Hero, May Prevedell
Details: May Prevedell was recognized as a hero after nearly single-handily protecting a small village from wave after wave of attacking Phantasms. When the leader of the Phantasms revealed itself as a great dragon, she and her husband rode after it and killed it. Her life was tragically ended when she discovered her husband's pact with a phantasm and he killed her for it.

Name of Lore: The Disgraced Hero, Tommen Prevedell
Details: Tommen Prevedell achieved his hero status as the messenger for his wife to warn surrounding villages of a phantasm army. After the deed was done, Tommen and his wife faced the dragon commanding the other phantasms alone and killed it. He was disgraced after it was found out that he had become a pact-mage. To protect himself he killed his own wife and family, uttering the same words over and over again. "I'm sorry. I can't."

While officially he's dead, legend has it that he managed to survive and has grown into something, less than human because of his pact.
