Nakai
The Eternity Warden
BEASTFOLK | 120 | MALE |
CHAOTIC NEUTRAL | WARRIOR | Captain of Ba'dagar Guard |
appearance, A 8ft tall Bipedal Lizard with a 4 and a half foot length prehensile tail, This Beastfolk is further towards the Beast than many others, A rather aged creature with scars across his hardened scales that cover his body. The colour of these scales is a mottled grey and bluey-greeny hue that covers the whole body. The eyes are a piercing fiery yellow on an orange backset. The only "clothing" that is worn by Nakai is trophies that he has taken from his kills when he was younger. | personality, Chaotic Neutral: Nakai puts the strong before the weak in terms of survival, if a creature in the group is unable to cut its weight then it is only weighing them down, his beastial nature causes him to be less inclined to help others unless it is worth his while. Near Silent: Nakai rarely talks unless it is required, if he "talks" it is normally to relay orders during combat or to attempt to cause his enemy to think twice even for a split second, small talk is something he personally distastes and normally avoid though he may mumble to himself. Warrior Mindset: Nakai enjoys battle against a foe that is challenging relishing being in the middle of combat swinging strikes and taking blows and enjoying the flow of blood. This links into his enjoyment of taking trophies from worthy prey. The Vigil: He will continue his vigil in till he dies, that is what keeps him from at least going mad, though he mostly does it because he intends to keep his word. Veteran Frontline Leader: With his shock troop experience, he enjoys leading from the front though he isn't really capable of fighting how he used to due to his injury, he still prefers to wade into battle alongside his men for the sake of morale and a show of strength. |
history,
Youngling: During the early life, Nakai found hardship he lived on the streets picking up whatever he could while also being pelted endlessly by rocks, his form was completely different to that of other beastfolk, he was more beast like, with the more isolation he suffered the more hatred and bloodlust grew, over time he would grow stronger by hunting down small wildlife during the days and nights eating there flesh to grow stronger, though he would leave that little shady homeland which he no longer remember where or what it was after he could well have killed Beastfolk of his age after relentlessly beating then in a bloodrage, this lead him to enter the Wilds and set about hunting creatures that took his interest to vent the lust of revenge and bloodrage on.
(This was about 10 years of age)
Predator: After he left his homeland he spent near enough 50 years hunting the wilds, during this time he found himself becoming more decayed as feeling as a being that was called beastfolk, he felt far more beast the more he hunted and feasted on the flesh of creatures, gathering trophies from his kills as he hunted his way through beasts of ever growing size, consuming and moving on, though during this time he had little contact with any humans or elves as he moved through swamps, forests, mountains and more. Though overtime hiding his tracks from at least keen trackers became more difficult when he was carrying a large amount of body weight as well as body size, though it would end with conflict, he would find himself battling against other beastfolk with skill technique and numbers that could match ferocity and shear strength a beastfolk to exhaustion even with wounds littering its body, it was a rather exhilarating experience for Nakai.
Shock Trooper: After his battle against some troops whom he would later discover to be performing training exercises, he would find himself rather forceably recruited by a Veteran commander, whom saw at least some use for a sheer bruiser of a beastfolk, for delivering shock to the enemy or breaking through a line of defence there needed to be something that could take blows as well as charge head long into combat without hesitation.
Though the commander was not so foolish enough to believe that the beastfolk whom had hunted the wilds as a beast for the vast majority of its lifespan could really be tamed and treated like a model soldier of how the human's act, it would still need to vent let its beast aspect that had by now consumed much of its mind and intent.
These days where different for the bruiser of a beastfolk, he would find himself experiencing a different type of battle for another 25 years where he fought against both creatures and beings some of which used battlefield tactics, which creatures of the wilds did not at least in his opinion.
Venom: There would be one final battle for his unit at least for the time he would serve as a part of it, they would end up fighting against a varient of what is known a wyvern, this wyvern did not seem to use fire breath but rather a highly venomous sting, alongside it there was its minions, the battle would be tough for a small unit, fighting against numbers though the small fry would be little threat, during the battle with the wyvern its fly by attacks with its sting causing fatalities to there poisons with its powerful poison.
The Battle would end with there Veteran Commander felled, rended by the beasts razor wings and Nakai himself like many others found himself stung, though he had rather recklessly forced the barb deeper into himself to restrict the creatures movement so he could get in close.
The Creature was dispatched but Nakai most likely due to his years of pure survival in the wilds was the only one stung to survive the sting, though the ones whom weren't stung would survive completely fine with no major issues, Nakai found himself with issues such as burning pain through his muscles and thus the inability to properly sleep.
In the long run he was unable to commit to any combat at all, he had pretty much been fatally wounded that day but still had his body. Even if he wished for battle he could no longer conform with it.
Warden and Captain:
He had lost many people he knew over the years people of the original squad whom had passed away from age or battle, he was the only remaining original shock trooper, having absorbed changes in tactics and methods through the years he had served in battle, he was moved into the duties of assisting with city guard management, it would have been a waste to dispose of figure that at least had knowledge of the experience of the old commander, though many would call him on sight a Pee Brain, he wasn't stupid enough to bite far more that he can chew, of course there must always be challenge to improve but if you jumped too far it would only lead to death, that was shown true most truly during the fray with the wyvern.
As such for 30 years he served as one of the warden's of the city even though his movement was limited and thus his instruction was to, though during these years he had attempted many ways to relieve the issues with the poison that still seemed to rake his body.
It would be in the last 5 after the death of the Old Captain of the Guard, the ancient lizard would take over he was now 115 though he had felt that he hadn't changed at all in terms of health other than some loss in body muscle due to his training not being as rigorous due to the pain that would fill his body.
His battle technique had pretty much been lost, all he could do was recite history.
Though it would be only recently, he managed to acquire a rather odd type of anti-poison, it seemed to somewhat alleviate and weaken the symptoms though it still causes him pain, he has begun to feel more free and somewhat more young, he would say though he could not say for certain what its contents was.
Maybe it was a dawn of a new age for him, one where he can properly stand forth though he would not be able to return to his good old days at least for a long time, he would be bound in this city unless something called him outside that was desperate enough to warrant it.
