Five years ago, the Yellowstone supervolcano exploded, tainting all the creatures, food, and water around it with a cloud of ash. The humans emigrated. The animals stayed. Now the fragile peace has been shattered with the death of the leader Icarus, and one small Wisconsin community has been torn into factions based on friends and family. There is no more hope for peace, no messiah to save them. The only thing to do is pray that you are the last one alive.
