There was a certain sense of sureness that accompanied the role of representing your country. A feeling that you must always look for it's interests before your own and that the events of another nation does not promise harm to your own. For the part of Terra Heroum, the nation did it's best to be as hospitable as possible. Perhaps it was because of their own history of unity that they had embraced this particular Ambassador's country with open arms. Terra and her own homeland had always enjoyed good relations over the years, though it was up to her and many others to make sure that things remained that way. Yes, there was alot of political issues and pressures that rode heavy upon the shoulders of Taira no Izu. But the key was to never let it truly weigh you down.
In the wealthier section of the Residential District of the human city-state known as Andor, there resided the current Ambassador. The foreigners' mansion was a sight to behold, built in the style of their own architecture rather than the Terran style that surrounded it. A high stone wall ringed a large perimeter around the embassy and and a set of iron gates blocked the way for anyone not welcomed. In the yard, one could see many trees that originated from the foreign land coming into bloom and developing lovely pink petals. A stone pathway led straight from the gate to the general vicinity of the embassy, the spacious compound including a large stables and a smaller house built for housing servants. The interior of the large mansion was well decorated with various items that originated from the foreign homeland as well, though one could certainly make out a growing inclusion of "exotic" Terran items included among them in recent months due to the new Ambassador. Taira no Izu held a fondness for other cultures and found their worship of Heroes to be an intriguing practice. A side section even included a few idols of popular Terran heroes for guests of the embassy to practice their spirituality.
And speaking of the pink haired foreigner, she had been quite embroiled in speaking with a number of assistants on matters of new policies from the homeland, as well as a few missives both from her father, the Shogun known as Taira no Minekata, and the Emissary about various items to pursue in delegations with Andor's Representative and Seconds. In the latter matter she took the liberty to invite all three for a luncheon at the embassy, offering hospitality and a fine meal to discuss things over. Come to think of it, it would also be her first meeting with the new Left Hand of Humanity, as well as a chance to get to better know the Right Hand whom she'd only spoken what amounted to a few words with before now. Of course, there was also the object of her more... personal interests who'd hopefully be there as well. The Human Representative herself, Hilda Brandr. There was a certain something about that redheaded woman that captured Taira no Izu's attention. Alas it could not be only the two of them for lunch on this beautiful day.
Regardless, they would be here any time now and it was important to receive them with all due haste and respect. She rolled up the latest scroll from her father, an update on how her siblings were doing and how her younger brother had finally picked up his first sword. The news was good by all means and it left the young woman with a smile on her face. She placed it carefully along with the other letters she'd received from home, making a mental note to write one herself later that night. For now, Taira no Izu departed from her room to head downstairs. A servant reported that their guests had arrived at the gate and were on the way in now.
Once they'd enter the embassy, they would see Taira no Izu awaiting them. A young woman in pink foreign garb with pink hair and a black bow tied in it. Her eyes a golden color and slitted like a reptile's, the hint of heritage that was not as human as she herself appeared. The foreign ambassador placed her fist against an open palm and bowed her head to the arrivals.
"Welcome, honored guests. It is a pleasure to have you at our humble estate."
