Appearance
Raven comes to a decent five foot seven inches and has a total weight of one hundred and forty-eight pounds. His body is a little undernourished due to long nights of studying the arcane arts, and forgetting to eat because of them. His hair is steel blue in color, and is styled in such way that a long and layered part of it covers the right portion of his face. Raven's bright aqua eyes look down upon others with a rather serious expression despite the fact Raven himself isn't always serious. A long black hooded coat adorns Raven's body and having several pairs of this coat Raven is hardly ever seen without it on. Tattooed on the right side of his neck is Raven's family symbol which they have labeled as the Mark of Merlin.
Personality
Raven has a very curious mind one that wants to see and understand everything in the world around him, one that is always looking at things as if they were a puzzle to be solved. This naturally curious mind of Raven's has lead him into doing several rather dangerous things in his past. So it can be said safely that Raven isn't afraid to take a risk to achieve what he wants. His mind has also affected his ability to connect with others on an emotional levels. Even things like family were hard for Raven, as he always trying to figure out the meaning behind their faces and trying to understand how they thought. Still he would do anything for the members of his family, he loves them even if he has difficulty showing it. Much like for his family Raven will do anything for his friends, however actually gaining his friendship is a hard task.
That isn't to say Raven is anti-social because he does have a certain level of charisma about him, if one could even call it that. The way he can walk into a situation and regardless of how stressful it can be perform well under the pressure. He simply has a hard time placing his trust in others, having been betrayed before because he was foolish enough to call someone friend. It's worth noting that among others his age Raven is smart, having studied tons of topic throughout his nineteen years, not only because his parents wanted him to but because he too wanted to learn. Raven is only very observant so getting something passed him can be quite difficult.
When comes to his skills as a mage Raven is actually rather proud of himself. He has mastered a wide variety of spells already and however most of them tend to be magic focused outside of combat. He has only recently started to develop his combat magic, and is thus very naive about the world of battle. Something he wishes to fix if he is going to achieve the goal he set for himself. You see Raven aspires to capture a vast quantity of magical knowledge and store for future generations to use, he hopes to becomes a mage more powerful and knowledgeable than his ancestor Merlin.
