Appearance

Standing in at around 5' even, the woman now known as "The Angel in The Dirt" shows signs of a sylvan heritage that marks her among the Phantasm-touched of the Beastfolk. She has a pair of large butterfly wings that are brilliant ivory white with ebony black edges and seem to glisten with a gossamer sheen. She wears a white dress of phantasmal spider's silk, matching along with her incredibly pale skin. Ribbon-like black gloves and leggings adorn her body as well and beneath them, her hands and feet are actually as black as the fabric too, an oddity of her heritage. Finally, The Angel has silver eyes and long flowing ivory hair tipped with gold.

Personality

The Angel in The Dirt is a secretive individual, though that is to be expected for the role that she plays. Though she is not telling of her true name, she prefers to be addressed as "Angel" rather than her full title amongst her colleagues. At heart, Angel is a kind person who will go out of her way to aid others. She believes that anyone and everyone has the potential to do good in them. However, she is not so naive as this attitude might seem, being perfectly aware that some individuals will reject such potential in favor of a darker route. But they are the exception and not the rule. As such, Angel is an optimistic person and will always try to look on the bright side rather than dwelling on the negative.

She is a hopeful and determined person, as illustrated by the position that she holds. Ambition is also a part of this determination, her goal of showing the world that necromantic magic can be used for good dominating this particular category. It is the driving force of her methodology and of certain ideals that she likes to preach in a fashion. The Angel in The Dirt is perhaps the ultimate proponent for "Death" as a force of nature that should not be feared, but embraced for what it is. She sees it as a comfort at the end of a long road, a rest that finally lets the weary sleep. The soul passes on and the corpse left behind is just a shell that can be used as a resource like anything else. Yet even with this acceptance of death, she is quick to remind that life should be lived all the fuller and enjoyably.

History

The Angel in The Dirt has long been the leader of the group known as the Ordo Demetrik. She has led them through thick and thin since the advent of the group some unrecorded tens or hundreds of years ago. For The Angel in The Dirt is not just one person, but many. The role of The Angel is a sacred duty of the most ambitious of their female Necromancers. Dedicated to Necromancy as a force for good in the world, the Ordo Demetrik is a secretive group that was inspired by the actions of the Necromancer Hero from long ago. They believe in Necromancy as a tool that can be harnessed just like Demetrik did and that it deserves a place in modern society just as much as the school of Valentine or the spellswords that adapt the style of Varthan. Yet a big move has yet to be made for the Ordo Demetrik until recent times have seen the advent of a new Angel.

What information there is on The Angel in The Dirt is as hidden away as the information on the Ordo Demetrik itself. While there are perhaps some among the cabal that would know her true name, her history is now a subject of respected silence. Risen to her person some 5 or 6 years ago now among her group, her path from that day forward has been an attempt at devising plans that could actually facilitate the Ordo Demetrik's goals rather than just paying lip service to the ideals while working to further Necromantic magic instead. No one outside of the order knows just what it is she plans, but she enjoys putting her attentive mind and ambition to the test in pursuing the actual goal that they've long held.

The Ordo Demetrik has received a boost in membership since The Angel in The Dirt has come to power, starting to spread the word of the Ordo Demetrik while keeping their activities secret from the larger body of society. Weaving webs of influence among scholars and other notable magi, Angel is attempting to first garner allies for her order before making the larger moves that she desires. From highly influential individuals to even those from the lowliest of peasant stock, she knows no concern for status, wealth, or any other particular sort of difference that society uses to differentiate the "elite" from the "lower classes". Recently her order has run into remnants of the Dragon Cult that had surfaced some 30 years back. Worried that the Cult may be making some sort of comeback, she has frozen her recruitment efforts and is currently considering how to move forward into the future.
