Debate: Taira vs Zevran

There was a massive increase in the amount of pink on the stage than in the previous rounds. The ambassador of Sendaikuni residing in Andor stood on one side of the stage, standing out to quite a few in the audience. The foreign manner of dress and her overall demeanor were almost trademark. On the other end of the stage stood someone a little closer to home for many, a more traditional mage clad in his robes. A few of the students from Valentine's recognized him, but to many they didn't really know who he was beyond "a mage".

The two were set up on a stage, each with a podium and with the announcer located between them. They were all positioned as such that the crowd could see their faces. The announcer was a human male, dressed for the occasion and hired by the Representative to help run the debate.

"Welcome everybody to the next round of this year's Declaration of Intellect! My name is Hans and I will be your announcer for today's events. It's a clash of cultures today, with an ambassador from Sendaikuni against a mage from our very own heart and soul, Dracon! We'll be trading more than goods today it looks like!"

From his own podium, Hans pulled out a small piece of parchment and set it down in front of him, clearing his throat before continuing.

"Without further adieu, the topic for this Declaration of Intellect is...'Foreigners not born and raised in Terra Heroum should not be permitted in our pantheon of Heroes'. Oh geez, I just hope this debate won't ruin international relations. But, I have a job to do, and you both know the topic now. Ms. Izu, I believe it was, you are up first. Pick whichever side of the discussion you wish and begin the debate."

The stage was set, the cards were dealt, it was time to see how these two would handle the issue thrown at them.
