appearance, Rowan is a lean yet muscular man, with short and spiky brown hair. His face has a strong jagged structure that could be called handsome but his usual expressions actively prevent it. He is constantly showing off a smug look, a sadistic grin. If that wasn't enough, for some reason (possibly a twinge of beastfolk blood) his teeth are slightly sharpened like fangs, and his pupils also appear feline, with an almost slit appearance. He might sometimes appear to be very noble, sometimes intimidating, others selfish and uncaring. In truth, Rowan is a thug and that's what most people see. He is vain, rude, greedy, sadistic, and a thousand or so other terrible characteristics. He's a complete narcissist that thinks of himself as the most perfect living-being and he'll gladly declare it to anyone (assuming he isn't trying to manipulate them). When being his true self he will talk-loudly, boast constantly and start fights over nothing. He will show compassion to almost no one and somehow find a way to offend every single person in the room. Although he isn't above using cheap tricks since he has zero respect for anyone else, he MIGHT get attached enough to a person to consider them important. He wouldn't change his behaviour much, but he'd definitely have them in higher esteem. |

His childhood could be considered rough, but it wasn't unusual. His mother died shortly after he was born and his dad was a mercenary that could barely provid enough for them to survive. The man was never very present in Rowan's life and most of what Rowan knows he picked up from others. Maybe because of that, when his father passed away against some beast while on an job, Rowan simply moved on without much grief put into it. He was 8.
He moved on from street-rat, to leader of a juvenile gang, to bodyguard for some rich merchant. He was eventually discharged on very bad terms for having had 'inappropriate' behaviours with the merchant's daugther. He then jumped around from city to city, serving as muscle to whoever needed it but it never lasted long. He was completly incable of following orders or accepting someone as his boss, so whenever someone pulled rank on him he'd either get pissed off and start a fight or outright quit. Over the years it's likely that he has stolen and scamed more out of his emplyers than what he has honestly earned.
In recent times he is without a job, mainly because gullible rich people are quite the finite resource.Because the aprehesion of Pact-Mages is rewarded decently by officials Rowan now has his eyes open for them, considering them easy money. Meanwhile,he's been going around Andor intimidating random people into paying him a fee. He picks targets that he knows won't talk back so that he never has to resort to any violence, never actually calling it a "robbery" either. A criminal that can't be bothered with violence but that would gladly do it if it was needed.
