It sucks. Sometimes people join, have fun, but then something happens and then life happens. Some just don't think that when life happens, they can continue to be here and keep a decent activity rate and thus choose to say their farewells rather than keep us on the edge of our seats wondering if they'll come back. But it happens, and you know what makes that even worse?
All the progress they made goes up in smoke. All that hard work, gone, because of something they couldn't help.
So, we've decided on something to try and fix that. Obviously in your time here you make some friends. May be, as a final gift to the forum, you decide you want to help your friend that'll still be here so that they can keep going the distance. Thus, we have Inheritance! If you have to leave the forum for good, at least as far as you can tell, then post here at least giving us some kind of explanation of why so we don't start rumors about affairs. As well, you can indicate a character that you want to pass your inheritance onto! Not a player, a character. It makes it easier for us to keep track of and make sure everything transfers correctly.
When you post here with that character's name, you're indicating that you accept that even if somehow in the future you can come back, you will not get these things back. Think of it as a kind of last will and testament.

- Unspent Gold on your account
- Non-starter items on your tracker that can be purchased with gold (items, armor, weapons, companions, etc.)
- Non-starter Abilities
- Enchantments on Weapons/Armor
What does not transfer:
- Unspent XP on your account
- Anything you start out with from your class, race, or canon role
- Tiers/Levels in classes
- Any skills, be them starter skills or later acquired skills
