Sometimes, Taksaka really regretted some of the crap he had to do as Representative. He could cope with the hard to make decisions, the tedious never ending work, even the incessant buzzing of idiots. But losing such a massive portion of time to ceremony and tradition drove him up the wall. He had no problem with the annual tournament his city hosted, he even endorsed it. His problem was the reward. He had to personally take time out of his day to "train" the winners. As if the winners should need training! Ridiculous, truly. But while he did not appreciate tradition, he would also not spit in it's face. Oh, they'd get their training.
That training might just happen to be incredibly dangerous.
Not for Taksaka, but his less experienced companions may face some danger. But that was the best form of training, in his mind. Trial by fire forged the skills into something workable. At least, that was the theory.
The trio approached an apparently deserted village, near the outer edges of Ba'dagar's territory. The village had been destroyed in bandit raids more than five years ago, and the culprits responsible had long since been forced to follow their victims into the afterlife. What brought them there was not the long ago history of the villages end, but more the slinking rumors that life still stirred within. Or rather, a twisted perversion of it. For months now, tales of the haunted village had been circulating in whispers throughout the neighboring villages. It was considered cursed, a place haunted by specters of the vengeful dead, who raged at the injustice of their deaths. Taksaka however, was well aware that the dead very rarely rose of their own accord. If the vengeful dead did haunt this village, they were at the hands of a Necromancer to some degree, and if that were true, they had a problem.
Necromancy itself wasn't particularly offensive, albeit it was a rather shunned form of magic. But attacking travelers without warning was. And desecrating an entire village of the dead was also lacking in suitable respect.
"Careful, the both of you. We approach, and their numbers are unknown to us."
Granted, their numbers could be zero. It was all rumor and speculation, and the village could be completely lifeless for all they knew. But it was best not to take chances.

| Brielle walked along with Taksaka. She had met the beastfolk representative once before while clearing out some goblin squatters near Ba'Dagar. Now she was about to battle by his side again. Maybe. If the rumors about this ghost town were true and it really was filled with undead.
"I'm grateful that The Fang forfeited to me during the tournament." Brielle said. If it wasn't for the tradition of the winners of the silly tournament training with the Representative she would be out by herself. Well that and if Armando Luna hadn't forfeited to her. Now she was practically forced to train with Taksaka and some lizard beastfolk she hadn't met yet.
She turned around and began to walk backwards while facing the lizard beastfolk. "Hi, I don't think we've been introduced yet. I'm Brielle, Brielle Holly." She smiled as she talked. She thought about holding her hand out for a handshake but the sight of his hands made her rethink it. It would do her no good against the potential undead they might face to have no use of one hand because it had been crushed in a handshake.

It had been a while since his small scrap in that arena, testing the strength of the young beastfolk, though it seemed it had ended uneventfully, he had at least now gained the chance to see how the young representative could fight and it would be an interesting viewing to see upon the battlefield.
It seemed there had been some sort of necromantic offensive on a town nearby to the city, technically something like that would be little threat, though due to his victory and there being no suitable rookie to suggest, he had better perform at least the duty of the guard captain of their grand city.
He saw grand lizard, dragon like properties from the representative, but had roughly decided it would be rather inappropriate to make jokes about being a relative because it would most like fall on being rude, he was old enough to be into the great ancestors of these young ones.
He had only been listening to the others than actively talking, he kept his scenes open listening and observing. The little cat lady introduced herself of course it would be only kind to give a few words of speech there was no point talking at a time like this, dropping your guard to socialise could well mean death.
He responded in his venerable ancient toned voice, “Nakai, Guard Captain”
Nakai’s eyes quickly darted locking on and observing anything that could be a hiding spot, ambush point, kill box and any movement.
In a low tone, “I believe it’s likely however we are already detected”

"Lousy excuse for a Fang-- Who forfeits mid-match?"
Taksaka grumbled under his breath. On one hand his seconds shouldn't have entered the tournament to begin with: They were expected to be some of the best fighters of the city by default, so it was kind of unfair for them to participate. Not to mention the reward for them being a "training session" with Taksaka: A thoroughly fruitless endeavor considering how often they were around him regardless. But still, it was the principle of it all! To surrender in the middle of a match? It was shameful, for a race that prided themselves on strength and endurance. Understandable in some situations, but as the Fang of all Beastfolk? Foolishness. Something had clouded his thoughts from the minute he entered the arena, and Taksaka could only assume that was why the young, new Fang had surrendered.
Regardless, the time for mental bickering was over. As the trio strode forward, the dead were already aware of their presence. Wooden windows rattled, a hollow screech that sounded far too close but too far from being the wind rang through the area, and forms shifted just out of view.
Taksaka almost cared.
He stopped in the middle of the road, beckoning his two companions forward.
"Yes yes, now that you're both introduced, both of you step forward."
No sooner had he issued his faux-orders, that several shambling forms stumbled out of the nearby run down excuse for huts. Turns out the dead did inhabit this poor excuse for a village-- And weren't quite so dead anymore. Ghouls lurched forward toward the trio, limping towards them while emitting sickened moans. Taksaka, meanwhile, simply crossed his arms and began tapping a single finger against his clawed fore-arm, as if waiting for something to occur. Or more accurately, two somebodies to get started doing things.
"Scream if you're about to die."

| "You don't talk much do you Nakai?" Brielle teased. "Mr. serious is a man of few words I see." She sighed as it seemed she wasn't going to get much more out of him outside of what their goal was. Zombies in a ghost town huh? Seemed kinda cliche, like those stories bards enjoyed repeating fifty nights in a row.
Brielle slowly made her way in front of Taksaka at his command. Curious, she watched the undead shuffle towards them. It didn't seem likely that the living adventurers had been detected yet, which could work to her advantage. "So I take it it's just up to me and Chuckles here to take down these stiffs?" The half cat pushed her bottom lip out in an over-pronounced pout.
"Well if that's how it's going to be." Brielle gave an overly dramatic sigh before running behind a nearby cover. Her natural cat like stealth came in handy in several different events from concealing herself to attack an enemy sneakily or to run away from a battle she didn't feel like participating in. Of course, today would certainly be the former unless things got too overwhelming. Good thing Taksaka was here.
Now that she was concealed and hidden from enemy sight, Brielle crept towards the gruesome foursome. With a quick strike she impaled the nearest zombie with her dagger, almost like it was a Cat's Claw. Of course that screwed her as she was now clearly noticeable to the undead as she was standing right in front of all four of them.

The catfolk female seemed to make some witty comments that had no effect on the lizard, though it wasn’t time to focus on talking, there was the undead emerging and they had to be suppressed, it would be of use to spread them out and take this situation tactically, of course he wasn’t in charge so he kept one eye on the representative.
Nakai observed the closing undead, it seemed the “representative” was just going to observe it seemed like he was expecting people to march in for him, this wasn’t something a leader should do at least in the eyes of the ancient beastfolk, a leader should at least prove themselves to inspire there fighters, Nakai made a mental note to fail the representative on this point.
Though during his mental planning phase of this situation, the catfolk had disappeared and headed off somewhere that was rather creepy the fact the creature could just disappear at the drop of a coin and then be anywhere. Though when it went to attack the undead it seemed to make a fatal mistake, the catfolk may have ambushed them but seemed to neglect the ability of undead to surround and cut off.
Nakai aimed one thing at the representative…. “Nipper, fan them out” as nakai moved himself to pull the kitten out of the hell it had just dragged itself into, it would be smart to focus on eliminating the most injured enemy at this time this would be the process of whittling down the undead, though because the catfolk had a rather dire situation it wasn’t time to start kiting the undead with their outnumbered forces.
Nakai would move to engage the undead, he planned to use the hand that held his mace to Sunder Armour of the wounded Zombie it would be useful if he got lucky to break its bones though it would depend on if such a creature was reinforced or not.
As he was doing this he would throw the catfolk clear of the combat, they clearly weren’t a creature designed for going up head on and had somewhat make a critical mistake in his eyes.

Taksaka yawned, almost nonchalantly as his two companions bravely went to fight the undead. He could go help them, if by help them he meant nonchalantly destroy all the shambling corpses they were currently facing, but that wouldn't be much in the way of training now would it? No, it was better to let them handle it. They seemed capable enough. Plus this way was much more entertaining for the half-dragon. He almost wanted to laugh when Brielle ambushed the first zombie, placing herself directly in the midst of the horde. A bold move, and while the large reptillian Guard Captain seemed to think she had foolishly placed herself in a poor position, which maybe she had, it's not like she was defenseless. But whatever, not Tak's problem, they'd figure it out themselves.
The first zombie took Nakai's strike straight to the abdomen, lurching backward slightly but not much worse for wear. It immediately turned to face it's now attacker, lunging at the reptilian beastfolk to bite him. Consecutively, the other Zombie, drawn by Brielle's attack and now focused on the even closer Nakai, also shambled from behind, intent on raking it's claws across the beastfolks back: Not that it's claws were particularly harmful. The only thing you really needed to worry about with Zombies was being poisoned by their bite, but among Reptile-oriented Beastfolk it was rather uncommon to not have an immunity to such things.
Meanwhile, the first of two nearby Skeletons gloomed coldly at Brielle, moving forward to attack her even after Nakai attempted to throw her away from it. It seemed fixated, almost intent on attacking the Cat Girl specifically. With a speed terribly faster than anything without muscles should be able to achieve, it lept at her, one bony claw stretching outwards in an attempt to rake across her abdomen while she was still disoriented from Nakai's attempt to toss her free of the combat zone. Still, fast as the undead abomination was, he had seen Brielle move quite a bit faster before. He'd be rather surprised if it make contact, but having someone attempt to chuck you several feet can be fairly disorienting.
Meanwhile, the poor, poor last Skeleton had the foolish notion it would attack Taksaka, ignoring the two closer compatriots. Maybe some controlling force had decided to measure the Half-Dragon's skill, as he was the only one not fighting, or maybe the skeleton just had exceedingly poor luck in life and in death. It barely made it within a few paces of Taksaka before one armored claw reached out and knocked it's outstretched arm clean of it's body. Another moment later and the skull of the skeleton followed it, Causing the Phantasm to slunk to the ground in a heap of tattered rags and bones as the magic animating it fled the destroyed body.
With an irritated snort, Taksaka folded his arms again and went back to watching.
Actions Taken: Attacked Skeleton B twice, destroying it.
Zombie A: 18 Health . Used Zombie Bite aimed at Nakai. Zombie B: 30 Health . Used Regular attack aimed at Nakai. Skeleton A: 30 Health . Used Bone Claw aimed at Brielle. Skeleton B: Dead.
