[attr="class","top"] just because you're better doesn't mean you'll be the victor | It was high time the Left Hand began his portion of the investigation, which was to approach citizens under the Inquisition list the Court Mage provided him after speaking to the Head Rep, Hilda. and the Right Hand, Dorothea, in the Representative's estate. Strangely enough, Jason spotted Dorothea recruiting a male Elf and a female Beastfolk, though he wasn't sure who they were as they already walked off towards the Merchants District.
Intrigued by the idea of recruiting citizens who would like to assist in solving this dastardly crime, Jason recruited his own band; another female Beastfolk and a male Human. At first, he wasn't really sure what to think about the female Beastfolk, other than the fact she did look very attractive in her choice of attire. Ah, but, of course, surely she would like some justice done just as much as any other Beastfolk who visit and reside in Andor. As for the human, well, the hair definitely caught Jason's eyes, as he was unsure how old the man really was, even though his face was young.
Nevertheless, it was time to see who they were before they advance with the task before them. "Right then! I, The Left Hand of Humans, Jason Vorden, congratulate you both for aiding not only me, and not also aiding the people of Andor, but for aiding all Beastfolk on Terra." He announced before giving both volunteers a respective bow. "With your participation and utmost focus, we will reduce these despicable crimes against the Beastfolk." He then stood upright, smiling as he can tell this will be an interesting investigation, even though it was meant to be taken very seriously. "So! Any questions before we explore every corner of Andor for the perpetrators?"

She shouldn't have given in to her temptations, it was the thought that had been nagging at her since she had first accepted this mission. Aria definitely did not consider herself a peoples person, neither had she ever regarded herself in that light, taking on a task that involved other people was a mistake to begin with; simply being around ordinary folk was a challenge alone, dealing with an agitated rabble and their rousers could prove an impossible errand for her. Nevertheless the gold was needed, she was not willing to go back to her former state of health and poverty.
The feline beastfolk did not care for justice much longer, as it had not at all been served for her on a silver platter, there was not a doubt in her mind that she would never get to see justice on her part. The people who had done her wrong will never be caught or punished, they got away scot-free. Though this did not irk her in the slightest, she had already accepted that Terra Heroum wasn't the same continent she had dreamt of when growing up. This world was unforgiving, an apathetic landmass absolutely suitable for its large population of selfish and ignorant people. At the very least it was fitting.
The feline considered taking on this errand a mistake, as she was almost certain to encounter just those people she very much loathed. As a survivalist she was all too familiar with merciless enviroments. A cruel person, on the other hand, was a type of individual she had never confronted until landing on this continent; her kin back at home were more focused on survival, as they should be, rather than planning out schemes of how to betray their own kind.
Yet in the company of all this betrayal the people of this continent had still managed to create a functioning civilization, she found herself baffled and somehow amused by that.
Her attention was then provoked by her client, at which Aria stopped admiring the giant city structures and directed her gaze towards him.
"Right then! I, The Left Hand of Humans, Jason Vorden, congratulate you both for aiding not only me, and not also aiding the people of Andor, but for aiding all Beastfolk on Terra."
Inadvertently, the beastfolk narrowed her eyes and told herself. The abrupt bow then took her by surprise, her eyes widened for a moment as the man continued.
"With your participation and utmost focus, we will reduce these despicable crimes against the Beastfolk."
"Hah", the retort was not audible but rather expressed by the flicker of one of her feline ears. Her motives were nowhere near as noble as this man made them out to be, though she would not bother to argue or correct him. Her eyes followed him as he raised his head.
"So! Any questions before we explore every corner of Andor for the perpetrators?"
Aria almost dropped her jaw, her brows raised, was this guy serious? To search a city this large could take up much more time than simply her afternoon, furthermore she had no idea who they were looking for in the first place. Being an outsider also meant that Aria knew nothing of this 'Cult of the Great Dragon' he had refered to. So many questions she needed answered, the girl decided it would be best to start with the prior. A bit ashamed to admit she didn't know, as it sounded like everybody else did, she mouthed the question.
"Who are the Cult of the Great Dragon? It sounds like they are infamous around here... criminals?"

Today was on its way to being the most interesting Joran had in a while. It felt a bit off to leave Kairu alone with the shop for the day, but this was an important matter that had to be addressed. While he had kept the nature of his 'day off' secret from his only employee, Joran didn't want rampant racism to escalate in his home city. That was probably why he signed on for this in the first place. He eventually found his way to the meeting spot, and was only mildly surprised by the presence of the Beastfolk girl. More important on his mind was the Left Hand of the Humans himself standing before him. He felt a little nervous being in the presence of such an authority, which made it feel even stranger when it felt that he was being watched specifically. This resulted in him adjusted the light-weight jacket that he had chosen for the day; he had to look as presentable as he could.
The Left Hand had bowed to him. Joran almost felt that he was in a dream to have someone in such a high station bowing to him and the Beastfolk, who for all intents and purposes would only be citizens in comparison to him. By an instinct of humility, the shopkeeper couldn't help but return the bow.
"It is honor, Sir Hand," he replied with a most respectful tone. After a moment of reflection, and a prompt to questions by his host, Joran couldn't help but wonder something.
"Sir? Are the three really going to cover the city all on our own?"
