Appearance

Standing at an impressive six feet tall (For an elf at least) you can almost tell that his blood isn’t fully that of the fair folk. His faces soft delicate features almost disappear behind his square jaw and jet black hair. Saeros always appears immaculately groomed and clean shaven on the rare occasion he can be seen without his gear on. When traveling with his charge or adventuring he can be found wearing black armor with a red traveling cloak. Probably Saeros’s most notable feature is his sword. Ludicrously large by elven standards but smaller than a humans claymore it is both an oddity and a perfect representation of Saeros’s conflicted identity.

Personality

Saeros is a firm believer in following your moral compass and the orders of your superiors. The dumb die and the weak wither. Thats just the way it is in this cruel world. To many a great warrior has fallen prey to misplaced mercy or a moments hesitation. Kill any who stand against you and let the gods sort them out. This has been the code that Saeros’s father lived by and it served him well till his old age. As a soldier morality is a non existent factor you do what you’re told as fast and as efficient as possible, thats what you’re paid for. Its a cruel lie that there is any sort of honor on the field of battle and anyone who thinks otherwise is an easy target.

That being said when it comes to civilization you should serve your lords dutifully and without question. Without laws we are no better than those mongrel beastfolk! Those who break the law should be punished and pursued till justice is done. Saeros is much compassionate fellow elves even if not all of them treat him with the same respect. Blood is important and who your family is is very vital to your station in life in elf society. Saeros knows his bastard lineage makes him inferior to his kin in almost way but cast doesn’t mean anything the moment you lock blades. Saeros is obsessed with becoming the best warrior he can become and using his skill to raise his social standing. If anyone demonstrates mastery greater than his they will have his respect and allegiance.

History

Born a bastard of an elf nobel and a human Saeros would never amount to very much through birthright alone. His entire childhood was a blur of fights and and constant taunts. He was only half elf and in the eyes of others, that made him lesser. But the fact of the matter was his human blood made him bigger and stronger than most of his kin. Even if he wasn’t as spry or as intelligent as them he did have advantage when it came to battle. Seeing that his only hope for any social standing was in the military Saeros’s father hired the best sword-master he could find to train his son and pulled him out from the academy where he was to earn formal schooling.
Upon reaching adulthood Saeros was sent into the military to serve his kingdom with his blade. No great war or glory was to be had during his service but he took every chance to display his skills when they arose. Slaughtering bandits and fending off wasn’t glorious to most but Saeros reveled in the thrill of battle. Each clash of steel was a glimmer of pure bliss, seeing bandits run before their inevitable fate was better than a home cooked meal. Soon Saeros rose up in the ranks and he had thought he had reached his peak. Captain was a respectable rank but it kept him anchored to one place. Trapped in pitiful town waiting for more battle to come his way.
Then one day to his up most glee, an opening came up. The previous sword of the elves was no more! Of all the possible positions to earn fame and glory this was THE one. A pure test of bravery and skill to travel with his lords and serve them. Seeing his chance to become a true knight like the tales of old Saeros applied and was accepted. Now his true journey begins.
