appearance Relatively speaking, Matheus in entering into his prime as a young elf making his way up the ranks. Thanks to a dedicated training regiment, he has managed to maintain an above-average level of fitness, allowing to excel in his duties as well as battle. Taking great pride in the platinum blond hair and brown eyes that he has inherited from his family, Matheus takes it another step in emulating the warpaint traditions that the Bellamina family once employed in years long past. The most prominent feature of the elf is the look of focus he is usually seen wearing on his face and his eyes scanning his surroundings. | personality In the fewest words, Matheus has a very 'no nonsense' attitude. Taking his position and the safety of his home seriously, he always acts in whatever way maintains peace and order in the Elven city. He bears little patience for criminal acts and does his best to keep the seedier elements of his home in check. He also looks at things in matters of honor, putting the city before himself in all regards. His intense perspective on justice comes from the deep caring he has for the city; ultimately wishing to protect the people that live there. Overall, he sees no need to concern himself in the affairs of other cities, but finds any crime committed against his own as a personal affront to his honor. |

As one could expect, Matheus was born within the city of Cydonia as a member of the Bellamina clan. This family had -over the last centuries- made a name for itself as premier warriors and the most patriotic in their defense of the Elven culture. To no surprise, growing up around such attitudes guaranteed that similar feelings would form the core of what Matheus would become as he grew. It also ensured that he would find himself trained in the art of combat much like his father and those before him.
When his training was complete, and he was seen as a man by those of his family, he took on another of the Bellamina traditions: he took on the warpaint -blue as water- that marked him as a warrior. Without wars to fight, he soon found himself joining into the city's guard, at the time having nothing to him but his painted face and the spear in his hand. Training would prove to be his advantage as when violence would be the only resort, his name would eventually be the one would be called to serve. This with his aggressive belief in the laws of the city would lead him to one day receive the honor of being the captain of the guard.
Years of service have passed, and still Matheus performs his duty with the same energy and honor that he had the first day. In terms of service, he very much prefers to work in the streets along with the guards he is appointed over, seeing no reason to settle into an office. At this point, the people wonder if the face-painted warrior will ever place down his spear and raise a family of his own to carry on the traditions of his family.
