Personal
Appearance
Eled’s appearance for the most part seems fairly normal. He has chocolate brown hair kept only somewhat in check down to his neck and matching dark brown eyes. Much to his annoyance, he looks a bit young for his age, looking more like thirteen to fourteen year old, even younger according to some. He stands at a rather short 5’3 weighing in at about 120 pounds with an all-round thin and not very muscular build, stemming from not getting very much exercise aside from climbing trees which he’s adept at.
Normal stuff aside, what really stands out is what makes the fact that he’s a Beastfolk apparent. Slightly above his waist is a massive brown fluffy squirrel tail almost equal to Eled in height in length. A set of black and white stripes runs down lengthwise in the center and the amount of fur is so dense that you can’t see past it. Eled keeps his tail upright and slightly curled behind him so it doesn’t get in the way or drag along the ground as cleaning it is something like cleaning an entire dog attached to your waist. It also seems well groomed unlike the hair on top of Eled’s head. Personality
Eled is generally a laid back youngster who approaches issues at his own (usually slow) pace. He tends to avoids larger conflicts, believing that there are people better suited to taking care of things than a simple hunter. He may come across as lazy to some, but he simply believes that avoiding stressful issues and keeping a low profile is a pretty good way to leading a long fairly happy life. Eled does however, know when things need to be taken care of personally and will step in himself, albeit with a bit of reluctance. He doesn't enjoy fighting and would much prefer to go hunting over seeking monsters to slay for reputation.
Eled generally gives off the atmosphere of a humble, kind, worry-free youth. He's not so selfless that he feels directly responsible for the well-being of others, but leaving someone who obviously needs help isn't within his nature. He is quite loyal to his friends and wouldn't do anything to put others in harms way unless he or people close to him are threatened. When he does feel threatened, he is calm under pressure and unflinching even towards imminent threats, taking time to calmly and carefully draw his bow to intercept whatever danger is baring down on him. With that said, he doesn't delude himself into believing that he's a hero, and he will not hesitate to make surprise attacks at weaknesses that appear or flee a battle, although only after confirming that his allies also retreat.
In his spare time, Eled enjoys napping, hunting, grooming his tail and finding good food in no particular order.
History
Eled's history is rather short, due in no small part to his youth. He grew up without knowing his parents; to his knowledge his parents simply lacked the means of taking care of him and instead entrusted him to an old human hunter without an heir who was a friend and wished to pass on his skills. Growing up, Eled had sporadic contact with civilization since he and his "Grandpa" lived outside of most civilization in the Windy Plains. He primarily interacted with his Grandpa and passing merchants, though he didn't seem to mind this very much, seemingly perfectly content with this simple lifestyle. He started hunting while his age was in the single digits, he can't remember when exactly he started since as far as Eled was concerned, he had been hunting his entire life. He received basic education along with his hunting skills from his Grandpa, although his enthusiasm towards hunting certainly helped his ability. As far as he was concerned, this was Eled's life and it would continue to be so. This was however, changed when Grandpa fell ill.
Eled was prepared for his Grandpa's death, after all the man was already quite old by the time he adopted the boy. The two were fairly close, however the old hunter always seemed somewhat distant towards his adopted son since he felt getting too close would tie the boy down and make it more painful when they inevitably parted. This distant facade eventually crumbled as the old hunter neared his end, and in his last night the two spent the entire time reminiscing. Moments before he passed on, Eled's Grandpa let the boy know how proud he was that Eled was his successor, but also urged him to at least meet with his real parents since Eled previously seemed to have no interest in going anywhere else. The heartbroken boy relented eventually, and promised to find his parents and let them know that he was raised well.
Since then, Eled has been traveling in order to find any leads on his biological parent's whereabouts.
