◄ CAUSE I FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, I'LL GET MY REVENGE ON THE WORLD Dervla knew that going out for potential customers mostly at night hurt her sales. But it tended to be that creatures of the night were more understanding, her wings fluttered nervously behind her. Not that she REALLY had much to worry about, she could easily fight off most things.. or at least run away pretty fast.
Dervla hid in the trees, sitting on a tall branch, really the only way for her to be seen are the obnoxious pink wings on her back that fluttered nervously. Dervla herself seemed calm but her wings always gave away her true mood, and she happened to be nervous a lot. On the bright side most didn't know how to interpret her wings movement except.. they just always moved.
Dervla sat in the trees in the woods often, she would sit and wait for people to come along. After all, if two people were moving they were harder to find, so she would sit and wait. Hopefully for a warrior looking for a better weapon, or a selfish wife who wanted jewels. No matter what she had already always heard the same story. People no longer interested her as they used to do in her childhood. Now, they're just all the same.
Dervla was growing bored though, the most common traveling road was awfully quiet and she'd only seen a few people, none of which seemed all that interested. Sighing, she thought about going on back to town for the night, but she decided she'd wait a little longer.

While it was true that most prefered to travel during the day, Professor V'Errmite had long since developed an irregular sleeping habit on account of his hobbies. The night wasn''t even that cold, and the old man was more than capable of performing the journey on his own. He'd even be able to calmly enjoy the starry sky as he walked down that road leading to...to...
Eh...That was the road to Cydonia right? He could swear that he was supposed to have turned somewhere before...
Truth was that although he had been born there, he had been purposely avoiding returning to his hometown for years. You see, Elves can hold a grudge and they live for tremendous periods of time, meaning that his family was most likely still alive and still upset over him leaving. Unfortunately he had business to attend there and 60 years was more than enough time to let heads cool down -atleast that's what he hoped. The issues of a runaway son meeting his mother again weren't the sort of problem a senior citizen like him should be having, but the longevity of his race made these bizarre events possible. The great concern right now, however, was whether he was on the correct road or not; fortunately, he noticed someone hiding in a tree nearby.
"Yound Lady? Eh, Terribly sorry for the inconvinience." He spoke to her in his normal gentle voice, hoping not to frigthen her. The girl up there seemed to have a pair of fairy-looking wings, perhaps she was a beastfolk? Or maybe she had a unique fashion sense. Regardless, the old man did not want to intrude too much.
"Could you perhaps inform me where this road leads to.?"

◄ CAUSE I FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, I'LL GET MY REVENGE ON THE WORLD It had been a very long time since Dervla had been approached rather then she approaching people. She just assumed she had an off-putting personality or something. But this old man just seemed to not care, Dervla fluttered her wings and gently glided down. She strongly believed conversations should be held face to face, and hiding up in her tree would just make her look silly and unconfident. So she arched her back and smiled as best as she could.
It was a simple question, it wasn't the first time she encountered lost travelers. "Oh, this is the road to Dracon, if you hit the split up a little ways though, you can turn to head to Cyndonia." She commented politely. Even though she was known for her shady dealings honestly she tried to keep her manners.
"Where are you headed?" She asked, in hopes that maybe he shall walk with her. She had to admit sometimes traveling alone could be quiet dull.

It seemed the girl prefered to speak with him face to face, and although the smile she was wearing had come off slightly forced, the effort put in it was still much appreciated. Absalom had a reason to thank her too, taking into account that had she not informed him, he would be going the opposite way from his chosen destination. His hands reached to stroke his mustache in contemplation of this fact as he uttered: “Oh I see, I see… Heavens! If I hadn’t I met you I’d be going around in circles.” The old man fumbled with the words gratefully.
Again, he answered the girl's question with a kind voice. It was a fact that his words rarely carried any animosity and those were no different. “I’m visiting the the Marshy Coast. It’s an awfully beautiful sight this time of the year, don’t you agree?”

◄ CAUSE I FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, I'LL GET MY REVENGE ON THE WORLD Dervla nodded "Oh yes, you'd be going the wrong way." She giggled slightly, it was rude but so was she. Fluttering her bright pink wings she thought about it for a moment, it wasn't really where she was going but it wasn't that bad of a walk, and he was right, it was a nice site to see. "I agree, I was going to head to Dracon myself but if you'd like some company it wouldn't be that big of a back track." She commented.
Dervla was hoping that maybe there was something this old man wanted. Probably not, normally the elders had everything they've ever wanted. Still, she could always try and make a sale with anyone and no one else was going to be passing through. So if he accepted her offer, she was sure there was something he could like.
Maybe he was a pervert and she could give him a discount with her girls. Whatever it was, she was sure there was something.

“You would? Such a polite young lady you are. I’d hate to be an inconvenience but I'd be delighted if you could make me company.” Regardless of the girl’s quirks, the elder was quite pleased with her offer. Truth was that he rarely had good conversations while on the road, and that was a treat he sorely missed. Considering the circumstances it’d be good to have a companion,or well...another one. “My current traveling partner doesn’t talk much you see” He mumbled while directing a slight nod at his back. Behind himonly empty space could be found, or atleast that's what it would appear to a normal onlooker. Because he had long since grown accustomed to his familiar he refered to it's presence regardless of what shape it would find itself in.
“How about you take me to the crossroads you mentioned before? Just to make sure the old head doesn't get me in the wrong road again.” The request was followed up with a slight chuckle on his part. Feeling that the woman was doing him quite the favour he added- “I would be quite grateful!” It had to be said, Professor V’Errmite was always overjoyed when he saw younger people attempting to be this helpful, revealing a light smile due to it.

◄ CAUSE I FIGHT LIKE A GIRL, I'LL GET MY REVENGE ON THE WORLD As the old man gestured to his back she blinked. Oh shit. She found a senile old man whom she'd have to play babysitter for now. Oh well, wasn't the worst job ever. And normally grateful old men liked to pay her back, no matter how out of it they were. "It'd be my pleasure, I have learned that learning from those who are older then you tends to always pay off. I'm sure you have a lot of wisdom to share." She put on her fake smile again.
She nodded "That certainty wouldn't be a problem it's not that much of a walk." She nodded, in hopes that she could somehow get something out of this, or at least have him buy something from her. "One moment, I must fetch my bags."
Flying back up into the tree, she grabbed quite a few things, flew back down, tucked away her wings and put on the giant bag that she had and looked comically on the small girl's back. "After you Mister." She spoke politely.

“Wisdom? Ah that just comes with the years. It’s nothing worth fretting about”- the man stroked his mustache once, slightly flattered over the complement. Although some people could focus too much on the -You’re old- part, he usually ignored it in detriment to the -You’re so wise- segment.
Rest assured, your actions are quite appreciated. Let us move then, there’s little reason for idling I’d say!” Turning to the crossroads, with the moon straight above them, the man started walking at a steady slow pace, the sort you’d expect from a person his age. He was really quite surprised with the girl’s willingness to help, but very happy about it as well.
"So, what is a fine young woman like yourself doing in the roads at this time?"- Absalom asked incisively. More than just chit chat, he was truly interested in knowing the answer, seeing most travelers feared the roads at night due to phantasms. Also, this woman had a certain air of mystery to her, a certain aura...well, that and some very heavy looking luggage.
“And...Do you perhaps require assistance with those bags?”
