Presto Dupree Sasha RivelloSunshine, it beat down on the small town that sprawled itself out across the countryside. The town began really, when the fields of wheat and livestock began. Farmland slowly melded into the town as dirt roads became well kept cobble pathways, farm houses became town houses being well kept and rather flashy in design. Something was out of sorts with this town however, all the way through it seemed abandoned and yet the noise of a crowd could be clearly heard coming from the town hall. The noise was certainly not that of a joyous and happy people. The sound of a smashing window rose above the crowd, there was certainly some commotion over by the town's centre.
Kairu was not having a good day, this was the third town that did not receive the idea of this concert too well. He had gone ahead of the others to gain the Mayor's approval, unfortunately for Kairu not only was the Mayor uncultured in the way of music but he had a certain distaste for beastfolk also. It escalated rather quickly as the townsfolk would not back down on the matter. They kept ranting about a concert not being constructive, the posters being seen as litter that they would have to clean up afterwards. That was how Kairu found himself out the nearest window as various things were thrown in his direction, he made a swift exit down one of the streets to meet up with the others. "I swear, next time someone else can ask permission." Kairu mumbled under his breath, he had lost the townsfolk for now. He headed towards the meeting place he had set before hand, a small cafe just on the edge of the town. He stopped at the door taking a breath before walking inside.

Presto tapped her foot impatiently. She had adopted more of a casual look today, consisting of a rather short pair of white lace bloomers with a matching top complete with a pastel blue bow. Her hat hung from a small loop on her belt- it was pretty much an essential since it contained her entire inventory. The songstresses long locks where contained in to two unkempt mouse buns that sat upon her head. ''If this place turns me down.. I swear I'm going to go in and beat the crap out of them until they let me perform....It's seriously hard to get gigs in this town....Especially when I'm on the cusp of break through gosh darn it! This little town will be gum on the bottom of my shoe when I become a star.. They better watch me!' Presto complained out loud, attracting some rather unsavoury glances from some of the villagers. Music was so underrated these days.. it could do wonders for morale and the people's happiness. All these government suit and tie types really had no sense of fun what so ever. Presto decided to go and head to the meeting place, as she had done some window shopping whilst Kairu had tried to get permission. The rendezvous point was a quaint little cafe that sold the most adorable pastries. Presto approached the beastman from behind, clutching his shoulder with a sigh. ''No use huh? ..Maybe I should come in with you next time. And where's that other girl?'' She rolled her eyes, visibly frustrated.

There was something nostalgic about being in a small town again; granted even this town was quite large compared to her fledgling township, but there was a common feel to all small settlements that was markedly different from a large city. Even though she hadn’t been away from home long enough to really miss it just yet, walking past those painstakingly cultivated fields and onto the cobbled streets was a little taste of what she had left behind. Sasha stopped in at a small inn before doing anything else, dropping off her travelling supplies before meeting up with her client and partners for this little ‘mission’. Not expecting any trouble in town she left her gauntlets behind, though she still wore her leather armour because, well, she never wore anything else. Rather than head straight to the little café she had been told to meet the others at, Sasha decided to take a little tour around town and get a feel for the place. She soon wished she hadn’t as whatever homey feel the place had had at first glance soon disappeared when she realised just how lifeless the place felt. The streets were almost deserted and the few people she did see weren’t exactly the friendly type; walking determinedly forward with their heads down and not even glancing at her unless it was to shoot her a furtive or even scornful look. Making her way to the café more by chance than design, Sasha stepped inside to find a place that at least looked welcoming; and the smell didn’t hurt either. Even so it was sparsely populated and the only two that stood out were a white-haired Beastfolk a little taller than herself and well… she was adorably tiny, had bright pink hair and was dressed in fairly provocative clothing. Given that she was supposed to be here to help advertise the concert of an aspiring performer Sasha could only assume she was looking at her client. Catching the tail end of the girls comment, Sasha grinned to realised they were expecting her and decided it was high time she introduced herself. Stepping up behind Presto, which in her case meant towering over her by enough to be clearly visible, placed her hands confidently on her hips and proclaimed her arrival. “Never fear, your guardian is here.” Rather pleased with her cheesy introduction, Sasha continued grinning as she turned her attention first to the Beastfolk, then the girl. “Yu must by Kairu right? I’m Sasha, and I’m guessing this little cutie is the star?” ---- Tagged: Kairu Ao

After a brief moment to get acquainted with one another, the group would find the quaint little cafe was perhaps not as welcoming as they thought as a group of young girls walked up to the group. They seemed to be in their early teens and had a bee in their bonnet about something. One of the girls circled round to block their escape through the door, there were six of them in total and each seemed to be fairly similar in their taste of clothes and music. "What do we have here... some songstress who thinks she is going to hit it big. Ha! What about the rest of them? Your entourage? An oversized household pet and... her... what is she even wearing? can you even call that clothing?!" One of the girls spoke identifying herself as the leader of the group, her remarks about Kairu and Sasha were laced with venom in their own right but they seemed to have a particular distaste for Presto herself. It was clear the fight they intended to pick was a psychological battle, the other girls seemed to giggle at their leaders remarks however.
"We don't want your noise around here! How can you even go around calling that music?!" Another one of the girls finally chimed in, she seemed slightly more nervous than the rest of the group. Clearly out of the entire group this one was the only one who felt bad about behaving in this manner, she was fortunate in a sense that the other girls did not notice her hesitancy.
Kairu responded rather bashfully, he began rubbing the back of his head as he felt some need to explain himself to Presto. "Well I tried my best, they just... don't like music I guess... I mean we could go to convince them again... if that is what you want but they did just throw me out of a window..." Unfortunately in small towns such as this the leader's words were absolute, they would have to convince them to convince the town. That was when the group surrounded them, he looked back and forth between the new arrivals and those in his company. The remark about being a pet made his brow furrow slightly, he knew one thing was for sure they needed to make it to the town hall as soon as possible. They would be closing up petitions in an hour, once that was over then there would be no chance of getting permission for putting up the posters around. Their schedule was tight after all, but all that being said Kairu not only felt uncomfortable at the prospect of fighting girls but knew it would only hinder their plan.
"We are not looking for any trouble." Kairu started as he tried to calm down the situation, they scoffed at him clearly not interested in anything Kairu had to say in the least. They seemed to have a fixation on Presto, Kairu could not pin it down exactly but then again he was a man and these sort of things did go over his head somewhat. Kairu just kept his mouth shut for the time being.

Presto twisted on her heel, placing her hands on her hips as she looked the new arrival up and down. Her figure was curvy in all the right places- a feast for the eyes. She threw a scowl at Kairu, who she assumed would be oogling the new arrival. She certainly was a pretty thing. Although such figures would often arouse envy in the petite songstress, Sasha Rivello seemed friendly and not to arrogant... and after the compliment on her part, she was instantly put in to Presto's good books. The blonde clearly had good taste. ''You bet! The one and only. I'm guessing your Sasha Rivello right? You clearly have good taste. We have a long, fruitful friendship in front of us.'' The little performer nodded her head proudly. ''Anywayy~ We best be off if we wanna hit the next town before it gets too late.'' She smiled at her compatriots before being engulfed in a gaggle of shrieking harpies. The group surrounded them like a pack of hyenas, and circled them like prey. Their verbal knives slashed away at her ego, until she couldn't take it any more. The songstress stamped her foot and began yelling. Proudly sticking her nose in the air with a 'hmph', she lay in to the girls. ''The audacity of you talentless hacks! I'd watch your tongues if I was you! I may look cute but trust me.. I could knock all of you in to next week without thinking twice! You see, unlike some people, I have talent. For magic, well.. for mostly every performing field really. I don't really require you uncultured dolt's opinion on anything, to be quite frank. Now be a dear and leave us to our business~'' The best way to deal with such awful people was to be calm. ''Jealousy isn't pretty, and it sure isn't a good look on YOU.'' The songstress reared her head to the ring leader.

Sasha was really starting to wonder what had gone so wrong in this town. First the whole place was as lifeless as a tomb, everyone she ran into giving her the evil eye, then these girls show up just to launch an unprovoked verbal attack on them. And what was that Kairu just said, they threw him though a window? For asking to put up some posters? The girl’s words didn’t really bother Sasha, not as much as the fact they had been said in the first place; her armour wasn’t a fashion choice after all, it was meant to stop her getting hurt, something it did quite admirably. She had no reason to be insecure about it. Calling her new Beastfolk friend a ‘pet’ however was just low and their unreasonable hatred of Presto got on her nerves as well. She was a little surprised when the pintsized performer practically exploded with rage at the slight. Little Presto tore into the group, their leader especially, like a whirlwind and Sasha made a mental note not to be standing in front of her when it looked like she was about to get angry in the future. Still, it was probably best that she intervene before things got out of hand. Stepping forward Sasha placed a hand on Presto’s shoulder, her firm grip holding the girl back before she physically leapt at the group. “Now, now girls, there’s no need for all of this. I’m sure these ladies don’t want to start a fight they can’t win and I’m sure you don’t want to make things worse by attacking the townsfolk. Not unless you want us to be chased out of here with pitchforks and torches?” ---- Tagged: Kairu Ao

The girls seemed rather taken aback by the tongue lashing they were given, some of them seemed ready to start a fight while other seemed ready to flee. "H-h-how dare you speak back!" The leader of the group spoke, she hesitated on going any further, seemingly making up her mind she turned on her heel and stormed out of the cafe. Clearly the words spoken by sasha seemed to alter the minds of those in the group, they were not looking for a fight so they too followed suit and stormed outside. After they had all left, a rather elderly man in an apron approached the songstress and company.
"I would like to thank you for making them leave, those girls have caused nothing but trouble for this town." He paused for a moment appearing to reflect on something. "This town used to be a nice place to live, then all these performers started showing up and bewitching the young of our town. I have no problem with people displaying their art but those who follow in their wake cause only trouble, many people have moved out because of it... I know! Maybe if you could convince them to leave, then this town would be in your debt." He seemed rather pleased with his own idea, he then added. "I believe they usually protest outside of the town hall at this time, since the ban on performers came into place they have been more aggressive than usual."
Kairu watched as the group of girls left, he sighed in relief that it had not turned ugly. "Glad that was over I don't know if I could of brought myself to hit a girl, even if she was capable of fighting back." He grinned at the other two, then as an elderly man approached Kairu sat himself on one of the tables. As the man told his story Kairu found himself staring out into nothing, he was still taking in the words the man said but his attention was elsewhere. He hoped the shop was ok, he had left Joran to his own devices.
Kairu turned around once again when the man had finished talking, he spoke out to the other two. "Sounds like a better plan than we had before, what do you guys want to do?" Kairu waited to see there reply, but he did hop down off the table as if ready to go.
